RE Integration Study Trip
RE integration study trip to Berlin
Following the fruitful discussions at the fourth meeting of the working groups in Rabat, a study trip to Germany took place from 18 to 24 October 2015 in Brussels and Berlin on the topics of:
- Management of a fluctuating energy production;
- Stability of the grid;
- Projection of electricity production by solar and wind installations;
- Energy demand management;
- Evolution of energy storage devices;
The delegation members visited the German Federal Ministry of Energy, the Federal Agency for the Regulation of Electricity, Gas, Telecommunication, Post and Train Services, the energy independent city of Feldheim, the Technology Park Berlin-Adlershof, the Campus Euref and Gridlab GmbH as well as the European Institute of BTU Cottbus for training and research of grid stability.
Since then PAREMA continues to discuss grid integration and flexibility issues, and the topic is covered in depth by GIZ PAPEM project.
