ANRE Sets Tariff for Surplus Electricity
The National Electricity Regulatory Authority (ANRE) has set the tariff applicable to surplus electricity produced by private generators and injected into the national grid for the period from 1 March 2026 to 28 February 2027.
Under Laws 13-09 and 82-21, producers are allowed to sell to the national grid operator up to 20% of their annual electricity production that they do not consume. When production exceeds their own needs, this surplus is fed into the grid, and a purchase tariff is set by the regulator to ensure the stability and balance of the electricity system.
For the 2026–2027 period, the tariffs are set at:
- 21 centimes/kWh for electricity injected during peak hours
- 18 centimes/kWh for electricity injected outside peak hours
As of March 2027, a single tariff will apply, without hourly differentiation.
In parallel, ANRE has also set, for 2026, the tariffs related to the use of the national electricity transmission network (TURT), established at 6.85 centimes/kWh, as well as the remuneration for system services (TSS), set at 6.81 centimes/kWh. These are necessary to ensure the transmission of electricity and the stability of the grid.
