Development of hydrogen industry

At the end of 2022, HM the King of Morocco instructed the authorities in charge of energy transition to speed up the implementation of the national roadmap for the production of green hydrogen and its derivatives. As part of the royal festivities organized at the end of June, King Mohammed VI reiterated the strategic importance of the hydrogen sector for Morocco, and instructed the government to rapidly finalize the "Morocco Offer" ("l'Offre PtX marocaine") currently being drawn up. The aim of the "Morocco Offer" is to set up the entire hydrogen value chain in Morocco, clarify the responsibilities of the various players (ministries and authorities) in getting the market off the ground, and offer international investors attractive location conditions.
