Hintco Roadshow Stops in Casablanca to Engage Moroccan Green Hydrogen Producers

On Tuesday, May 6, the Hintco Roadshow 2025, dedicated to the second H2Global tender, made a stop in Casablanca to engage Moroccan green hydrogen producers.

Organized in collaboration by AHK Morocco, HINT.CO GmbH, GIZ Morocco, and the GreenH2 Cluster, the event was part of an international roadshow designed to present the H2Global mechanism and encourage applications from producers worldwide. This event was also part of the International Hydrogen Ramp-up Programme - H2 Uppp

More than 80 participants gathered in Casablanca to attend an in-depth information session on the H2Global mechanism. An interactive discussion followed, allowing attendees to engage directly with program experts.

Discussions focused on eligibility criteria, participation steps, and concrete opportunities for Moroccan producers, in the presence of Mr. Robert Dölger, German Ambassador to Morocco; Dr. Christian Storost, Head of the "International Hydrogen Ramp-Up" division at the BMWK; and Mr. Mohammed Yahya Zniber, President of Maghreb Steel and the Green H2 Cluster.

Through this tender, Hintco acts as a public intermediary buyer, supported by at least EUR 2.5 billion in funding provided by the German government and partially by the Netherlands. The objective is to conclude fixed-price, long-term offtake agreements (Hydrogen Purchase Agreements, or HPAs) for renewable hydrogen-based products, thereby offering producers the security needed to make final investment decisions.

The Moroccan stop is part of a global roadshow including visits to South Asia, Latin America, the Middle East, and North America, and will culminate in a final webinar open to all.

The evening concluded with a cocktail reception that fostered informal exchanges and the emergence of new international collaborations.
