New decrees: medium/low voltage and energy storage

In January, the Moroccan Ministry of Energy Transition and Sustainable Development put two decrees up for final consultation within the ministerial circle: a decree on the terms and conditions of access to the electricity distribution network for energy production facilities from renewable sources, and a decree on the operation of energy storage facilities. This is the first time that the medium- and low-voltage distribution network in Morocco has been opened up to renewable energies, enabling the massive integration of renewable energies into the Moroccan electricity mix.
