Successful publication of the "Offre Maroc" by PM Akhannouch
On March 11, 2024, Prime Minister Aziz Akhannouch published the "Offre Maroc". Morocco's hydrogen start-up strategy is aimed at investors (consortia) planning to develop green hydrogen production projects, including derivatives, for the Moroccan market and for export. The main elements of the Morocco Offer are land allocation (up to one million hectares), governance structure and incentives for investors (tax breaks and duty exemptions). The Ministry of Investment, Convergence and Evaluation of Public Policies (MICEPP) will be entrusted with the role of head of the "Green Hydrogen Investment Committee", whose tasks will include proposing investors and monitoring the concrete progress of projects. MASEN is responsible for being the focal point for major project developers, guiding private companies through the process and helping them to secure land.
